Update Next Steps

Trigger the periodic background lead passes across all accounts.

This endpoint initiates an asynchronous process that updates the next steps field for all leads in the system, and re-derives sales exploration status for leads whose booked meeting has since passed. The update is performed in the background to avoid blocking the API response.

Args:

• background_tasks: FastAPI background tasks handler (automatically injected)

Returns:

• 202 Accepted: Update process has been initiated
• 500 Internal Server Error: If the dispatch fails

Note: This is an administrative endpoint that processes all accounts. The actual updates are performed asynchronously via NATS messaging.
